Ran across these screens today, the character designs caught my eye, and sure enough, Katsuhiro Otomo(AKIRA!!) served as character and mecha designer.How did I not know about this?The OAV also has animators and production staff who worked on SteamBoy.Needless to say it has that trademark Otomo feel.Oh the plot is something about kids in vehicular combat, or some such awesomeness.
Although Freedom Project is a direct-to-video (DVD) animation, it stands apart from conventional OVA series first by the involvement of Otomo, and also from the collaboration with Nissin Cup Noodles
Excitement mounts.
